Her career spans senior management roles in both the private and non-profit sectors, including positions as Canadian Director of the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist program and Western Regional Director for the Institute of Canadian Bankers.<\/p>\n<p>Raya\u2019s extensive board experience includes serving as President of the Ukrainian Canadian Professional and Business Federation, Chair of the Family Council for the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre, and Board Director for Ivan Franko Homes. A pioneer in her field, she served as the first Executive Director of the Toronto Ukrainian Festival and was inducted into the Festivals and Events Ontario Hall of Fame. A York University alumnus, Raya is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and holds specialized certifications in training and needs analysis.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1>Director of Communications<\/h1>\n<h2>Natalia A. Feduschak<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ukrainianjewishencounter.org\/media\/Feduschak_Natalia.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-10076 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ukrainianjewishencounter.org\/media\/Feduschak-160px.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"239\" \/><\/a>Natalia A. Feduschak joined UJE in October 2013. With more than twenty years of international journalism experience, she has spent much of her career covering the former Soviet Union, from the empire\u2019s breakup to the challenges faced by newly independent states. She has written for leading publications in Europe and North America, including the <em>Wall Street Journal Europe<\/em>, the <em>Washington Times<\/em>, the <em>Denver Post<\/em>, and the <em>Kyiv Post<\/em>. She was a Fulbright Scholar as well as an International Health Journalism Fellow with the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation in Ukraine, and a Congressional Fellow with the American Political Science Association in Washington, DC. Feduschak holds a bachelor\u2019s degree from George Washington University and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1>Regional Manager, Ukraine<\/h1>\n<h2>Vladyslav Hrynevych, Jr.<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ukrainianjewishencounter.org\/media\/vladyslav-hrynevych-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-36814 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ukrainianjewishencounter.org\/media\/vladyslav-hrynevych-160x239-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"239\" \/><\/a>A lawyer by education, Vladyslav Hrynevych, Jr., joined UJE in 2016 and has been the head of its Ukrainian representation since then. Before that, he was a civil servant in Ukraine, working at the Ministry of Regional Development, Building, and Housing and Communal Services, the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth, and Sports, and the National Agency of Ukraine to Prepare EURO-2012. He researches the historiography of Jews in Ukraine and is a PhD student in the Department of World History at Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1>Office Administrator, Ukraine<\/h1>\n<h2>Svitlana Hrynevych<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ukrainianjewishencounter.org\/media\/svitlana-hrynevych.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-36812 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ukrainianjewishencounter.org\/media\/svitlana-hrynevych-160x239-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"239\" \/><\/a>Svitlana Hrynevych joined UJE in 2016. Before that, she worked in child psychoneurology from 1995 to 2004. She has a university degree in economics and worked in the banking sector in 2004\u20132015. Currently, she is the administrator of UJE\u2019s office in Ukraine and curates the all-Ukrainian student drawing competition \"Ukrainian-Jewish Encounter: Our stories are incomplete without each other.\"<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1>Liaison, Israel<\/h1>\n<h2>Shimon Briman<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ukrainianjewishencounter.org\/media\/shimon_briman.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-36933 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ukrainianjewishencounter.org\/media\/shimon_briman-160x239-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"239\" \/><\/a>Shimon Briman is an Israeli journalist and historian born in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He graduated with an M.A. in History from Karazin Kharkiv National University, where he specialized in the history of Jews in Ukraine, the Russian Empire, and the USSR. Briman has published several thousand articles in the media of Israel, Ukraine, and the U.S., as well as dozens of articles in scholarly journals. Briman writes on Ukrainian-Jewish relations, the Holocaust in Ukraine, and historical memory, as well as on current cooperation between Ukraine and Israel.
