For the second year in a row, UJE attended the \"Portal Through the Centuries: Old Bohuslav,\" festival organized by the Bohuslav Volunteer Headquarters and NGO \"Navkolo Nas.\u00a0UA\" in cooperation with the Bohuslav Regional History Museum and the National Museum of the History of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>This charitable historical and cultural event is focused on Bohuslav's multifaceted interethnic relations and national diversity in the 19th century, when Ukrainians, Jews, and Poles lived side by side in the town.<\/p>\n<p>Straddling the Ros River, Bohuslav is located in the Obukhiv district of the Kyiv region. The first written record of <em>Bohuslavl<\/em> is found in a chronicle dating back to 1195. In various historical periods, Bohuslav was ruled by the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Russian Empire.<\/p>\n<p>At the festival, visitors can learn more about folk crafts, customs and traditions, local cuisine, songs, and clothing and experience the well-known Bohuslav Fair. The festival brings together caring people who thirst for authentic Ukrainian history and culture.<\/p>\n<p>UJE displayed a book stand at the festival, where visitors could learn about the activities
