On 2 July, a joint Ukrainian-American photo exhibition titled \"United by Liberty\" that marks the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence was opened at the Motherland Monument in Kyiv.<\/p>\n

The exhibition was developed by Ukraine\u2019s War Museum and the U.S. National Park Service in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine. It marks the 140th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, creating a symbolic dialogue with Ukraine\u2019s Motherland Monument, which personifies the Ukrainian people\u2019s freedom, resilience, and struggle for independence.<\/p>\n

Welcoming speeches at the opening were delivered by Yurii Savchuk, Director General of the War Museum, and representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine. Musical accompaniment for the event was provided by the Alliance Brass Quintet of the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Band and the Ensemble of Soloists of Ukraine\u2019s Cultural Forces, who concluded the program with a joint performance of \u201cAmazing Grace.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vladyslav Hrynevych, Jr., UJE\u2019s regional manager in Ukraine, also participated in the event at the invitation of the War Museum. He informally interacted with many figures who are well-known in Ukraine and abroad at and after the event, shared information about UJE\u2019s activities, and presented several UJE-supported books.<\/p>\n
