Books published with UJE's support presented to academic and museum institutions in Poland

During his recent working visit to Poland, Ihor Kryvosheia, a professor in the Department of World History and Teaching Methods at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University and head of the university's Polish Cultural and Educational Center, presented several English-language books published with UJE's support to Polish academic and museum institutions.

At the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, UJE's books were presented to Mateusz Kamionka, a PhD in political science who specializes in the post-Soviet space, Ukrainian-Polish relations, and the activities of non-governmental youth organizations in Poland and Ukraine.

Professor Kryvosheia also donated books to the museum collections of the town of Legionowo, located near Warsaw. These volumes will enrich the library and research resources of the local historical museum, serving as a valuable asset for researchers, exhibition curators, and anyone interested in the history of Jewish communities and Ukrainian-Jewish relations.

Such gestures of cultural diplomacy take on special significance in the context of contemporary Ukrainian-Polish relations. At a time of trials brought on by the war and its consequences, sharing knowledge about the history of these peoples fosters deeper understanding and builds a foundation for future relations.
