An international colloquium dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy will take place on September 28–29, 2021
On September 28–29, 2021, the international colloquium "The Holocaust in Ukraine: Historiographical Trends, Honoring Memory and Comprehending the Crime" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy will take place.
Leading researchers of Holocaust history have been invited to participate, including Karel Berkhoff, Dieter Pohl, Kai Struve and others.
The event will take place on the Zoom platform. Discussants for each day of the colloquium are posted in the program.
The colloquium is part of the project "The Burden of Holocaust Remembrance in Ukraine: Cross-Research from France and Ukraine" with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (a joint Ukrainian-French research project), the Canadian charitable nonprofit organization Ukrainian Jewish Encounter and Germany's Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe project "Memorial Network."
The conference will take place in Ukrainian with English translation.
