Shared Histories: Ukrainian-Jewish and Danish-Jewish Relations Through Time
Join us on October 23rd for "Shared Histories: Ukrainian-Jewish and Danish-Jewish Relations Through Time," an insightful event on intercultural relations moderated by Nataliia Popovych, Chairperson of Ukraine House in Denmark.
We will begin with the screening of Humanity in Action's animated short film "Voices in the Void," which tells the story of Rabbi Bent Melchior's escape during the Holocaust, reflecting on solidarity and courage.
Following the film, a discussion will feature:
- Paul Robert Magocsi, historian and political scientist from the University of Toronto, an expert in Ukrainian-Jewish relations.
- Signe Bergman Larsen, curator at The Danish Jewish Museum, with expertise in Danish Jewish history during World War II.
- Mikaela von Freiesleben, Ph.D., National Director of Humanity in Action Denmark, specializing in minority studies and social cohesion.
- Lene Rachel Andersen, futurist and President of Nordic Bildung and author of The Nordic Secret.
