PHOTOS: Meeting of UJE board chairman Temerty and Ukraine’s President Poroshenko
James C. Temerty C.M., Chairman of the Board of Ukrainian Jewish Encounter, met with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv recently to discuss events in Ukraine and plans to commemorate the 75th year anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy, which will take place in September 2016. During his meeting with the Ukrainian president, Mr. Temerty was joined by John Herbst, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, who is Director of the Center for European Studies and who headed a U.S. Atlantic Council delegation to Ukraine; Adrian Karatnycky, UJE board member and Atlantic Council Senior Fellow; and Berel Rodal, UJE board member.
