UJE congratulates Israeli partner with prestigious Ukrainian award

Ukrainian Jewish Encounter (UJE) congratulates Anna Zharova and Vyacheslav Feldman, co-founders and co-chairs of the non-profit organization Israeli Friends of Ukraine (IFU), with the awarding of the Ukrainian Order of Merit (Third Degree). Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, decreed the award.

Since its establishment in 2014, Israeli Friends of Ukraine has received support from UJE for implementing numerous cultural and educational projects in Israel.

Among the organization’s most successful projects are the “Ethno-Khutir” festival of Ukrainian culture, held annually in Israel, and seminars for Israeli youth to study and understand the Holocaust, the Holodomor, and other difficult chapters in Ukrainian-Jewish history.

The ability of our Israeli friends to successfully implement these projects was why IFU became a key UJE partner in Israel.

We congratulate Anna Zharova and Vyacheslav Feldman on this prestigious award.
