UJE Board Member Paul Robert Magocsi appeared at the Gothenburg Book Fair on 25 September in conversation with Swedish journalist Sharon Jåma to discuss Ukrainian-Jewish relations and the book Jews and Ukrainians: A Millennium of Co-Existence. He argued in the engaging discussion that the historical experience in Ukraine not only divided ethnic Ukrainians and Jews, but also brought them together.
Magocsi co-authored the book with Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern.
The event was organized by the Ukrainian Institute in Sweden and the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter.
