This 23 June 2021 discussion was devoted to “Ukrainian authors in Buchach” featuring writers Andrei Kurkov and Vasyl Makhno who spoke about Ukraine’s contemporary literature at the First International Agnon Festival. Also featured was Mariana Maksymiak, Director of the Agnon Literary Center, who spoke about Buchach and the ALC writer’s residence, which is sponsored by the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter. The panel was moderated by Rabbi Jeffrey Saks, Director of Research at Jerusalem’s Agnon House, with words of welcome from Natalia A. Feduschak, UJE’s Director of Communications.
