Winners of the all-Ukrainian student drawing competition announced — "Ukrainian-Jewish Encounter: Our stories are incomplete without each other — 2025"

The international expert jury has announced the winners of the All-Ukrainian Student Drawing Competition "Ukrainian-Jewish Encounter: Our stories are incomplete without each other" in 2025.

In the category of "Students grades 8–9" the winners are:

1st place: "Dialogue of two worlds: Sholem Aleichem and Ivan Franko," Yulia Oliinyk, Cherkasy.

2nd place: "Tree of friendship," Anastasia Klopotovska, Zhytomyr.

3rd place: “Auschwitz — we will never forget,” Oleksandra Kovtunovych, Zhytomyr.

In the category "Students grades 10–11" the winners are:

1st place: "Two stories — one language of light," Oleksandra Radko, Zinkiv, Poltava region.

2nd place: "Love brings peoples together,"  Olha Pukhkalo, Sumy.

3rd place: "Friendship forever," Diana Kucherchuk, Cherniakhiv village, Zhytomyr region.

We sincerely congratulate the winners and thank all participants for their talented work. They expressed their creative ideas by revealing the competition's theme and by conveying their emotions, perceptions of the world, and love for their native Ukraine.

The All-Ukrainian Student Drawing Competition "Ukrainian-Jewish Encounter: Our stories are incomplete without each other" is held annually in Ukraine for students in grades 8 through 11 who attend general and specialized schools, gymnasiums, and lyceums. The competition's goal is to deepen understanding of the breadth, complexity, and diversity of Ukrainian-Jewish relations over the centuries with a view to the future. It aims to better understand shared historical experiences and foster tolerance and a conscious attitude toward interethnic relations among young people.
