A special family camp is scheduled to take place in Dnipropetrovsk over the course of two weeks. The camp is organized by a team of art teachers inspired by the educational method of Yuri Krasny and Lina Krasny Kurdiukov, which is based on promoting integrated creative human development by means of art tools.

The Krasnys originally come from Dnipropetrovsk and live in Jerusalem. Their daughter Masha Krasny, also an art teacher, says that the method helps to discover and to develop each child’s uniqueness and to integrate their talents in studio-wide and family-wide activities. The proof of the method’s success is the fact that adult graduates come back to the studio with their children to continue the experience.

Each family continues to practice the fruitful approach they’ve learned and, together with other families from around the globe, participate in a yearly creative camp in Ukraine.

This year the camp is of particular importance as it attempts to address issues raised resulting from events in eastern Ukraine. Camp organizers have stated that “‘no one has the right to destroy the joy of a whole generation… We can’t leave kids without a holiday! And adults too! Let this [camp] be an emotional counterweight! A source of vitality and confidence for the coming year!”
