“Jews and Ukrainians: A Millennium of Co-Existence” debuts in Poland
Paul Robert Magocsi, co-author of the award-winning book “Jews and Ukrainians: A Millennium of Co-Existence” traveled to Warsaw and Krakow to present the book to Polish audiences. The trip was associated with an important a milestone; the printing of the second edition of the volume’s Ukrainian-language edition. The second edition of the English-language edition will appear at the end of the summer.
Below are videos of the presentations. The first video is of the discussion that took place on March 5, 2018 at the Ukrainian Information Fund Foundation in Warsaw. Many thanks to Ukrainian Ambassador Andrii Deshchytsia, Consul Mykola Yarmoliuk, Deputy Chief of Mission Vasyl Zvarych, Oksana Denysyuk of the Ukrainian Information Fund Foundation, the Nash Wybor Foundation and translator Olha Kamyana for helping make the presentation such a success.
The second video is of the presentation that took place in Krakow on March 6, 2018. We are equally grateful to Krakow's Galicia Jewish Museum for warmly welcoming us in this unique and important institution. We are so appreciative of Dr. Edyta Gawron, President of the Management Board of the Galician Jewish Heritage Institute Foundation, and Dr. Monika Stepian, respectively, for moderating and organizing the Krakow presentation. We are delighted that vice-consul Maksym Muzyczko at the Consulate General of Ukraine was also present and shared his thoughts on changing attitudes in the modern Ukrainian state.
