Israeli Delegation Meets with Groysman
The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman held a meeting on 19 August 2014 with a delegation of Israeli officials who arrived in Kyiv for a three-day visit. As reported by the IzRus portal the delegation includes the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Faina Kirshenbaum, the head of the Knesset commission of foreign affairs and defense Zeev Elkin, and the deputy Alex Miller.
This is Groysman's first meeting with Israelis after taking office. As mayor of Vinnytsia he was engaged in contacts with Israel in different spheres—from economic to medical—and worked to establish the city as an example of beneficial cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel and Ukrainian local authorities. Deputy Miller, who has known Groysman for a long time, stated the Deputy Prime Minister is continuing this approach in his national post. The meeting discussed a number of questions concerning cooperation between the two countries.
