Lawmaker optimistic over Ukraine’s future

Alexander Feldman, a deputy in Ukraine’s parliament, was interviewed by Israel’s main Russian-language evening news program “Day” on Sept. 4, 2014.
The parliamentarian told Channel 9 that Ukraine will resolve all military problems, as Israel did at the time of the creation of the Jewish state. Feldman also noted that Ukraine very much hopes for Western and Israeli support in the spheres of security, economy and medicine.
He said the ties between Ukraine and Israel relations will strengthen given the current crisis. "The base of these human relations is the huge number of Ukrainian repatriates living in Israel,” said Feldman.
