"Menora" Center Security Guard Killed in Battle
Andrey Boltushenko, a security guard of the "Menora" Jewish center, was buried on October 20, 2014 in the village of Peschanka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He fought against terrorists and Russian troops as a soldier of the 25th airborne brigade of the Ukrainian Army.
On July 31, 2014 Andrey was tragically lost in the course of action near Shakhtersk in the Donbas. However, there was no reliable information about his whereabouts and he was considered a "missing person." His remains were found only recently and after examination the name of the lost hero was established.
"The Dnipropetrovsk Jewish community and the staff of the "Menora" Center express their deep condolences to the family of the lost soldier. He was only thirty years old and he sacrificed his life to stop the aggressor so that bloody chaos and the wave of terror didn't reach the Dnipropetrovsk region! Glory to you, Andrey Boltushenko!"
