Ukraine isn't dangerous for Israelis
This follows from the memo issued by the Prime Minister Office of Israel (PMO) on September 15, 2014, which contains a list of countries that present a real danger to Israelis.
Per the PMO's warning:
1. In the period of the Jewish holidays (Rosh and Shana 24.9.14, Yom Kipur 3.10.14, Simkhat Tora 16.10.14) there is a threat of acts of terrorism against Israelis and Jews abroad.
2. The threat increased owing to military operations in the Gaza Strip where numerous anti-Israeli demonstrations took place, and also owing to an increased level of antisemitism. These tendencies, perhaps, will remain during holidays.
3. The staff on the fight against terror developed the instruction for going abroad in the period of holidays. The instruction contains a list of regions, threat level in each region and the recommendation of staff.
4. The cautions are based on exact and checked information from intelligence information that reflect real threat.
On the list of countries Israelis are forbidden to visit is Chechnya, in the Russian Federation. But Ukraine or any part of its territory isn't specified in this list. Thus, Israel's intelligence services don't consider Ukraine or its eastern part as dangerous for Israelis.
