Presentation of the Ukrainian translation of the book “Clara’s War”

On February 25, 2021, an on-line presentation of the Ukrainian translation of the book Clara's War: One Girl’s Story of Survival took place.  Authored by Clara Kramer, the Ukrainian-language version was published at the end of 2020 and is part of the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies (UCHS) series "Library of Holocaust Memories".

The book was translated and published with the support of the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter (UJE) and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Zhovkva International Cooperation Foundation.

Panel discussants included the author’s son Eli Kramer; the book’s co-author Stephen Glanz; Holocaust survivor Metuka Kornberg (who is Zosia in the book); Anatoliy Podolsky, director of UCHS; Volodymyr Herych, executive director of the Zhovkva International Cooperation Foundation; Natalia A. Feduschak, UJE’s communications director; and Natalia Hurska, Lyudmyla Baibula, and Khrystyna Hnidets, a teacher from Zhovkva, a museum worker, and a student, respectively.

The presentation took place in English and Ukrainian.
