Reflections on Jews and Ukrainians: A perspective from Jerusalem

On 9 June 2022, UJE Board Member Prof. Paul Robert Magocsi gave a talk, "Jews and Ukrainians: A Millennium of Co-Existence, as seen through the war," at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The professor's presentation focused on Ukrainian statehood, Ukrainian identity, and the Ukrainian-Jewish relationship. The event Chair was Prof. Eli Lederhendler, and Dr. Samuel Barnai was the Discussant, both of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

The event was hosted by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Leonid Nevzlin Research Center for Russian and Eastern European Jewry, and the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter.

We offer several reflections from those who attended the event.
