Video: Judaica in Ukraine yesterday, today, and tomorrow

Ukraine’s Dukh i Litera publishing house and the Center for the Studies of History and Culture of East European Jewry of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences in Kyiv have published several hundred important publications in the field of Jewish studies over several decades. The dynamics of these publications, access to them on online platforms, and cooperation with the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter was discussed by:

  • Leonid Finberg, sociologist, cultural researcher, editor-in-chief of the Dukh i Literapublishing house, director of the Center for Researching the History and Culture of East European Jewry of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences;
  • Andriy Pavlyshyn, translator, member of the Ukrainian PEN, lecturer at the Ukrainian Catholic University;
  • Natalia A. Feduschak, Director of Communications, Ukrainian Jewish Encounter.

The Ukrainian-language panel was held in cooperation with Lviv’s "Territory of Terror" museum, NGO "Publisher's Forum" and Ukrainian Jewish Encounter on 8 October 2023 as part of the Lviv BookForum.
