On 3 February 2024, the Sholem Aleichem Museum in downtown Kyiv hosted the awards ceremony of the All-Ukrainian Children's Drawing Competition "Ukrainian-Jewish Encounter: A Look into the Future, 2023" and the opening of an exhibition of drawings by its participants.

For the third year in a row, the competition is held in Ukraine among students studying in public and specialized schools, high schools, and lyceums. It aims to deepen young people's understanding of the breadth, complexity, and diversity of Ukrainian-Jewish relations over the centuries, with a perspective for the future, to gain a better idea of our shared historical experience, and to instill tolerance and awareness of interethnic relations in young Ukrainians.

Students from different parts of Ukraine participated in the competition. An international panel of professional jurors evaluated the submissions and selected the winners. They were awarded monetary prizes from the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter, a Canadian charitable non-profit organization that organized the event. All participants received certificates and books on Ukrainian-Jewish relations, history, and culture.
