NEWSRU.CO.IL: On Thursday, September 18 in Tel Aviv and Haifa, under the motto 'I Can Stop the War', events will be held that are part of the Worldwide Peace March campaign aimed at drawing international attention to the events in the east of Ukraine.

The event was organized by the Israeli group of activists, 'Israel Supports Ukraine'. The main purpose of the event is to raise the awareness of Israel’s indigenous population to the events in Ukraine and to focus on Russia's role in the Ukrainian crisis. To do this, peace march participants are preparing pictures and posters in Hebrew and English.

Anna Zharov, one of the organizers and activists of the 'Israel Supports Ukraine' group, said that Ukrainian immigrants in Israel are concerned about this subject because many of them have families and friends in Ukraine. In addition, it is well known that Russia is trying to play an active role in the fate of Middle Eastern states, particularly in supplying weapons to terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah, thus threatening Israel. Therefore, if Putin's aggression in eastern Ukraine is not stopped, it will, according to the organizers, untie Russian’s hands in other regions as well.

“Today it is impossible to remain silent and do nothing, because tomorrow this world's silence may turn against us,” said Zharov.
