A Guide to Ukraine in Hebrew

The Israeli tourist site Masa Acher (A Different Journey) has issued a guide to Ukraine in Hebrew. Currently, it provides only basic, but important, information about the country. A more expansive version is still to come.

The guide mentions Ukrainian cities worth visiting (Kyiv, Uman and Odessa), provides tips on currency, transportation, hotels and communications. It recommends activities, such as a tour to Chornobyl. It also provides a short list of Ukrainian ethnic dishes and highlights several noteworthy restaurants in Kyiv, including one that is kosher. The articles in Expanding the Horizons section feature more detailed and personal stories about tourist experiences in Ukraine, which combines a general approach with a more particular focus on Jewish roots in Ukraine.
